Janelle Williams the treasurer of the Audrain County Shelter Resource Coalition was a featured local guest on the KXEO and KWWR morning shows today. Janelle talked about the coalition raising funds for a year-round emergency homeless shelter.
A shots fired incident in Columbia early this (Monday) morning is being investigated by Columbia Police. It occurred in the 1500 block of Paris Road close to 1 this (Monday) morning. Officers report finding twenty shell casings in the area and some damage to a vehicle. No injuries in the incident.
Lake of the Ozarks ranks sixth on the most dangerous place to boat in the United States. The U.S. Coast Guard boating statistics shows last year the lake had 57 boating accidents. As of the first of this month the highway patrol had taken forty one reports of boating accidents, four were fatal.

Centralia will be celebrating its second national night out tonight (Tuesday). Event organizer and Centralia Police Officer David Davenport says the event will have games, face painting, and the band 50/50. It takes place in downtown Centralia from 5-9.
