The Mexico Board of Education now has recommendations for moving forward with updates for the latest Missouri Comprehensive School Improvement Plan following last night’s meeting.
Dr. Tim Hadfield of Educational Governance Leadership presented findings to the Board based on surveys with District staff, students, and patrons with recommendations for complying with the latest Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
Some of the proposals presented include: developing a comprehensive facilities plan and proactively budgeting major capital expenditures, developing a comprehensive professional development plan as well as reviewing and refining their communications.
When it comes to students, it was recommended that the District update curriculum, assessment, and resources to engage students as well as updating curriculum offerings to engage students in career exploration.
The Board will re-visit the recommendations at the October meeting and adjust as needed for passage.
