Flu vaccines are available starting Monday at the Audrain County Health Department. There are three types designed for different ages. The stronger Flublock and High Dose vaccines are recommended for those over 50 and 65, respectively. Quadrivalent is for those 6 months and older.
Most major insurances cover the cost. Clinic hours are Monday through Wednesday from 8-3 and Thursday from 8 to noon. The ACHD can also make arrangements to set up an employer clinic at your place of business.
