Sports Report For 11/8/22

Mizzou men’s and women’s basketball both win their season openers last night.

On the men’s side, they faced Southern Indiana at Mizzou Arena with senior Kobe Brown posting his eighth double double of his career to lead the Tigers in both scoring and rebounding.

The Tigers survived a late scoring drive by the Screaming Eagles to pick up the win, 97 to 91.

The women’s team played Missouri State at Great Southern Bank Arena in Springfield and were trailing in the early minutes of the game 9 to 4 before graduate guard Katlyn Gilbert converted a layup, sparking a 17-0 run that spanned the first quarter break.

The Tigers never looked back and lead the rest of the game, winning 68 to 51 over the Lady Bears.

Not a good night last night for the St. Louis Blues.

They dropped the game with the Boston Bruins on the road, 3 to 1.

They try to shake off the loss as they are in Philadelphia tonight, taking on the Flyers at 6:00.

The Ravens were favored by 2.5 points in last night’s Monday Night Football game, and the oddsmakers weren’t wrong.

The Ravens beat the Saints 27 to 13.
