The number of candidates for the Mexico School Board election on April 4th is now one fewer.
Kara Clovis announced at tonight’s (Tuesday’s) board meeting that she is pulling out of the race for a number of reasons, including work, family needs, and health reasons.
She is dealing with a health issue that will take her away a considerable amount of time and she said she didn’t feel that it would be right to be elected and not be as available as she should be.
She addressed the audience and stated, “I challenge everyone in this room to do something nice.”
Her name will still appear on the April 4th ballot.
