A traffic stop early Wednesday morning outside of Jonesburg ends with a large quantity of methamphetamine being seized.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office, the traffic stop at forty minutes past midnight on Route Y was for an equipment violation.
The driver appeared overly nervous and it was discovered that they had a Montgomery County warrant and he admitted to having a large quantity of meth in the vehicle.
During a search, deputies located 116 grams of meth and took the driver to jail.
Charges were filed for drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The subject has not been identified, pending the filing of formal charges.
