Statistics From Last Year Rank Lake Ozarks As Sixth Most Dangerous Place to Boat in U.S.
Lake of the Ozarks ranks sixth on the most dangerous place to boat in the United States. The U.S. Coast Guard boating statistics shows last year the lake had 57 boating accidents. As of the first of this month the highway patrol had taken forty one reports of boating accidents, four were fatal.

Urban Trout Season Opens Monday
Monday is the first day of catch and keep trout season at urban trout impoundments. Area lakes stocked with trout include Kiwanis Lake in Mexico’s Plunkett Park, Cosmo-Bethel Park in Columbia, Veterans’ Park in Fulton and McKay Lake in Jefferson City.
