A Mexico teen has non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
According to a press release sent out from Mexico Public Safety it happened in the 800 block of West Liberty when a 15-year-old boy was attempting to cross the road and did not a see a 2007 Sterling utility truck being driven by 47-year-old Darin Knipp of Mexico.
The juvenile ran into the path of the truck and Knipp was unable to avoid hitting him.
Audrain Ambulance District transported the juvenile to University Hospital.
The roadway was closed for about 45 minutes.
