Mexico Public Safety Department Report 7/17/2023

Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 44-year-old William B. O’Brien on Friday, July 14, 2023 for Assault and Resisting Arrest.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, July 14, 2023:

  • Suspicious person on West Maple.
  • Stealing or theft at 6123 South Clark and on West Breckenridge.
  • Unlawful ATV operation at North Calhoun.
  • Trespassing on East Holt and at West Monroe.
  • Domestic verbal incident on Curtis.

Public Safety went to the following calls on Saturday, July 15, 2023:

  • Suspicious noise at North Clark.
  • Suspicious person on East Holt and at West Whitley.
  • Domestic physical incident on West Liberty/Muldrow.
  • Robbery not in progress at 1109 East Liberty.
  • Animal abuse or neglect reported at the Robert S. Green Park.
  • Domestic physical incident on North Jefferson/Jackson.
  • A careless and imprudent driver on South Clark.

Mexico Public Safety went to these calls yesterday (Sunday), July 16, 2023:

  • Suspicious person at Love.
  • Harassment on West Love.
  • Sexual exploitation of a juvenile at North Missouri.
  • Property damage on West Monroe and at the North Wade apartment building.
  • Threats at the South Jefferson apartment building.
  • Vehicle break-in on Michigan.
  • Domestic physical incident at East Seminary.
  • Suspicious vehicle on North Washington.

Car accidents:

A two-car accident on Saturday, July 15, 2023 on West Monroe in front of Taco Bell. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened as a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Rebecca Zumwalt of Mexico was leaving Taco Ball going east on Monroe and was sideswiped by a vehicle. The vehicle that struck Zumwalt’s vehicle left the scene according to the accident report. No injuries were reported.

A two-car-accident on South Clark at Boulevard on Saturday, July 15, 2023. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Kaitlyn Baker of Centralia looked to make sure traffic was clear before entering South Clark and crashed into the back of a vehicle driven by 63-year-old James Replogle of Mexico. No injuries were reported.
