A third person has applied for an open seat on the Mexico School District Board of Education.
It was announced today (Monday), that Erik Richardson has applied.
Mr. Richardson is a small business owner and freelance writer with a background ranging from corporate finance to education (kindergarten through college).
He is a current board member for the Audrain County Historical Society.
Matthew Robnett and Michelle Cobb Stephens have also applied for the vacant seat.
The vacancy was created when Marci Orr resigned on June 20, 2023 in order to accept a job with the Mexico School District to become the director of communications.
The deadline for applications is tomorrow (Tuesday), July 18, 2023.
The unexpired term will run through April 2024.
