The United Way of Audrain County is reporting a huge success from the first ever Power of the Purse held in Mexico last week.
$15,000 was raised at the event held at the Audrain County 4H Center on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
The Power of the Purse consisted of a dinner and a live and silent auction of donated purses and raffles throughout the night.
All the money raised will go to the ten local organizations supported by the United Way Audrain County.
A fundraising goal of $100,000 has been set for the 2023 campaign.
