Mexico Public Safety Warns Residents Of Increased Scams

Mexico Public Safety is reminding residents to be aware after an increase of scams in the area lately.

In a news release sent out today (Friday), Mexico Public Safety reminds residents that no company that you do business with will call you and then need your identification number.

No legitimate company will require you to pay them with cash cards.

And no legitimate person will give you money to use your bank accounts to cash their checks.

Residents are also asked to think about calling a company back or emailing the company back using numbers or email addresses you have, not ones they give you.

Residents are also being reminded that it is common to try and create panic by saying you have been hacked or you will be charged with something.

That is so you take less time to consider what is going on.
