A Jefferson City woman will spend one year and one day in federal prison for embezzling more than $65 thousand from her former employers.
Forty-eight-year-old Laura Lynn Winge pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud and one count of theft from an employee benefit plan in February.
Winge worked as a bookkeeper for Turks Construction, as well as an affiliated company, Pools Unlimited.
During her employment at both companies she admitted to withholding money from her employees in an IRA plan set up by Winge.
The court ordered has additionally ordered her to pay back the full amount in restitution.
