The owners of the shuttered hospitals in Mexico and Fulton will now wait and see what happens next after submitting a reorganization plan in bankruptcy court last week.
As first reported by KXEO/KWWR News in June the current owners named Ziva Medical were ordered to put together a plan to show how they will go forward with reorganizing the hospitals by a bankruptcy judge.
According to several sources close to the situation the plan was submitted on August 1 and contained how Ziva Medical would move forward with 180 days of operation with income and expenses, as well as services that would be offered.
The bankruptcy judge has ordered that all creditors owed money to put forth their claims by September 22, 2023.
For example Audrain County is owed over $560,000 in real estate taxes.
At that point creditors can either choose to accept or reject a repayment plan by Ziva Medical.
Ziva Medical group has hired a CEO and engineer and has several employees working at the Mexico hospital building currently.
