Mexico School Board Realigns During Special Session

The Mexico School Board has realigned after accepting the resignation of Board President Todd Yager during a Special Session tonight (Tuesday), August 8, 2023.

Yager submitted his letter of resignation last week in order to spend more time focusing on his multiple businesses.

Keith Louder was elected as the new Board President.

Nicole Jahn the new Board Vice-President.

And Michelle Cobb Stephens will serve as Board Treasurer.

It was also announced that applications for the vacant seat will be accepted starting tomorrow (Wednesday), August 9, 2023 through Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 4:30pm.

The vacancy will be posted on the Mexico School District 59 web site and applications can be found online or picked up at Central Office.

The School Board decided they will once again interview all people who submit applications for the vacant seat during a Special Session on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

The School Board will also appoint a person to fill the vacant seat during the August 29th, Special Session.
