A second application has been received for a vacant seat on the Mexico Board of Education. Erik Richardson submitted his application on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Mr. Richardson is a small business owner and freelance writer with a background ranging from corporate finance to education (kindergarten through college).
He is a current board member for the Audrain County Historical Society.
The other applicant who has applied is Lennette Brown.
The vacancy was created after Todd Yager resigned his seat at the beginning of August in order to spend more time to focus on his multiple businesses.
Applications can be submitted through Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 at 4:30pm.
Applications can be found online or picked up at Central Office.
Mexico School Board members will interview all people who submit applications and appoint a person for the vacant seat during a Special Session next week on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Central Office.
