Mexico High School Girls Tennis Team Competes At Joplin Tournament

The Mexico High School Girls Tennis Team played a lot of very short matches in the Joplin Tournament last week.

Mexico head coach Kim Costley says “On Friday we played to 4 and on Saturday we played to 6. Some matches didn’t finish because when someone won 5 we stopped. I sent you wins and losses. It was a good outing and our first time to participate. There were 24 teams and we finished right in the middle of the pack. It was a great experience to play so many new people this early in the season. We had 3 new varsity players in each match. Our strokes are looking great. We’ll need to focus on serving and net play in the next few weeks.”
