Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Wednesday, September 6, 2023:

  • Property dispute at 100 South Clark.
  • Vandalism at the South Jefferson apartment building.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on Pleasant/Calhoun and at the West Plaza Shopping Center and on West Jackson and at West Monroe.
  • Harassment on North Olive.
  • Suspicious vehicle at North Jefferson and on North Craig.
  • Natural gas odor on Rivers Drive.
  • Domestic verbal incident at South Jefferson.
  • Sexual exploitation of a juvenile on West Maple.

Public Safety responded to the following calls yesterday (Thursday), September 7, 2023:

  • Unwanted subject at North Craig.
  • Harassment on South Jefferson.
  • Suspicious person at Harwood/Fairground Road and on East Monroe/Washington and at Falcon Drive.
  • Careless and imprudent driver at East Liberty/Green Boulevard and on Pleasant/Calhoun.
  • Trespassing at 202 West Liberty.
  • Suspicious vehicle on West Vine and at South Union.
  • Fight in progress on West Monroe.
  • Domestic physical incident at Sannebeck Drive.
  • Stealing or theft at the Vance Road apartment building.
  • Indecent behavior at the North Western apartment building.
  • Sexual exploitation of a juvenile on Mars.

Car accidents:

A two-car accident on Clark at Boulevard on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 1:20 pm. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Sherry Hoover of Mexico turned into the path of a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Dustin Larue of Mexico when the two vehicles collided. Hoover was taken by ambulance to University Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
