The Mexico High School Girls Tennis Team competed in the Troy Tournament for the first time ever on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Mexico head coach Kim Costley says “It was a one day team event. We ended 1-2. There were all new teams we’ve never played and the competition was good. We are a Class 1 tennis school and all of the teams in the tournament were Class 2 & 3. While we only won 1 match, we had a good showing. Jyllian Whitworth 2-0 had some great singles matches that really pushed her out of her comfort zone.”
