The Mexico Lady Bulldogs Softball Team lost 15-10 to the Centralia Panthers at Gallop last (Tuesday) night.
Mexico’s Kenley Jones collected three hits in four at bats.
Brooke Teel and Hannah Loyd each collected multiple hits for the Lady Bulldogs.
Jones singled in the seventh inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
Mexico scored nine runs on seven hits in the bottom of the seventh inning.
It started with a Jones single that scored a run. Kylie Burnett singled and scored a run. Maddy Feger drew a walk, scoring one run. Karlee Sefrit singled, scoring one run. Jordyn Thurman drew a walk, scoring one run. Hannah Loyd doubled, scoring two runs. And Jones singled again and scored two runs.
Lady Bulldogs starting pitcher Emma Cunningham struck out two batters.
Mexico is 6-6 on the season. The Lady Bulldogs hit the road tonight (Wednesday) for a game against Macon.
