Mexico Man Arrested For Stealing, Burglary, And Property Damage At Local Business

A Mexico man is facing multiple charges after being accused of stealing.

According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office an employee of CTS Cement in rural Mexico reported early the morning of Monday, September 11, 2023 that a person had been found on the property in the process of stealing copper wire from the facility.

The amount of damage from the theft was estimated to be over $20,000.

The employee had taken a photo of the suspect during his contact, and the responding deputy was able to identify the suspect as 29-year-old Ethan Levings of Mexico.

Levings was found at a house on Josephine Street in Mexico, and was arrested for Burglary, Stealing, and Property Damage all felonies.

A search warrant for the residence Levings was found at was obtained by deputies.

Suspected Fentanyl was seized along with a firearm, counterfeit money and numerous items of drug paraphernalia and other suspected controlled substances.

Levings remains in the Audrain County Jail pending formal charges.

Audrain County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation regarding possession of drugs and the firearm seized is ongoing and more arrests are likely.
Levings was previously arrested on September 1, 2023 by deputies for driving offenses, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Oxycodone and released with a summons, and is currently under the supervision of the Missouri Department of Corrections – Division of Probation and Parole.
