Mexico Lady Bulldogs Softball Completes Season Sweep Of Marshall Owls On Clutch Play From Jo Thurman

The Mexico High School Lady Bulldogs Softball team beat the Marshall Lady Owls 8-5 on the road last (Monday) night.

Mexico’s Jo Thurman drove in four runs on two hits to lead her team to victory.

Thurman singled in the sixth inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring one.

Brooke Teel collected two hits for Mexico.

Teel and Maddy Feger each stole multiple bases for Mexico.

The Lady Bulldogs defense was solid as they did not commit a single error.

Emma Cunningham was the starting pitcher for Mexico and struck out two batters.

Aleigha Henderson appeared in relief for the Lady Bulldogs.

This is the second time this season Mexico has beaten Marshall as they completed the regular season sweep of the Lady Owls.

Up next Mexico hits the road tonight (Tuesday) for a game against Moberly.
