Mexico High School Students Achieve Exemplary Ratings During District Music And Band Festival

The Mexico High School hosted multiple area schools at the District Music and Band Festival on Saturday, Mar. 15, 2025.

The following Mexico Band students received Gold Ratings.

Dylan Reid for a Trumpet Solo.

Auroroa Vines for a Snare Drum Solo.

And Myles Yancey for a Tuba Solo.

The Exemplary Solos will continue on to State Music Festival at the University of Missouri on May 2nd.

Receiving Silver Ratings for Band were Alexia Femrite for a Trombone Solo.

Andrew Peuster for a Piano Solo.

Baylea Porter for a Clarinet Solo.

Ezra Patton for a Tumpet Solo.

Jude Yancey for Euphonium Solo.

Sebastian Matuz for an Alto Sax Solo.

Zach Arnold for a Snare Drum Solo.

The following Mexico High School students received Exemplary ratings for vocal performances during the District Music Festival.

Carter Blackburn for a vocal solo.

Abby Hamm, Melody Peterson, Rebecca Stanford, Evie Peterson, Landry Cooney, Caden Smith, Jonathan St. Martin, and Carter Blackburn in Double Quartet.

Lucy Gleeson, Kiya Smith, Abriana Lynch, Lydia Van Schyndel, Kaesin Patrick, Dylan Reid in Double Trio.

Receiving Outstanding rating in Vocal Solo were Abriana Lynch, Rebecca Stanford, Taylor Wyman, Zoey Sullivan, Caitylyn Spurling, Maggie Ramsey, Abbey Hamm, and Landrey Cooney.
