The Mexico Bulldogs fell 24-13 to the Kirksville Tigers on the road tonight (Friday).
It was a promising start for the Bulldogs as their defense caused Kirksville to fumble on the very first play of the game.
Mexico would capitalize on the turnover and score the first points of the game on a 35-yard-touchdown pass from Charlie Fisher to Drew DeMint.
The Bulldogs would miss the extra point and led 6-0.
Kirksville answered back and took a 14-6 lead into halftime.
The Tigers would score a on a 25-yard field goal and extend their lead 17-3 in the third quarter.
Another Kirksville touchdown made it 24-6.
Mexico would score again with under two minutes to go in the fourth on a 69-yard-touchdown pass from Charlie Fisher to Shantez Dorsey and it was 24-13.
Mexico falls to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
Next week the Bulldogs host Moberly for Homecoming 2023.
