Led by Donna Corrado and her husband Doc Joseph Corrado the newly formed board held their first meeting today (Monday), at 809 Medical Park in Mexico.

Officers were elected including President Donna Corrado, Vice President Dr. Peggy Barjenbruch, Secretary Mathew Pilger. And Treasurer Matt Jackson.

The Audrain Regional Medical Center Hospital Board is a group that was formed to try and get a hospital reopened in Mexico.

Ziva Medical, the owners of the existing building of the shuttered hospital is also working on reopening.

Corrado’s group have been talking with several County and City officials and exploring multiple options for funding for their project.

Mrs. Corrado says her group has no intention of interfering with Ziva Medical, however if they are unable to reopen the hospital in Mexico, then other options are on the table.

Audrain Regional Medical Center received a Certificate of Incorporation from Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft on September 21, 2023.
