A Higbee man is dead after a two-car accident in Boone County during the morning hours of Monday, November 20. 2023.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report it happened on West Missouri 124, 881 feet east of Perche Creek.
A vehicle driven by 35-year-old Frankie T. Sloan of Columbia crossed the center of the roadway into the path of a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Samuel E. Ancell of Higbee.
A collision happened when Sloan’s vehicle struck the front of Ancell’s vehicle.
Sloan’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and caught fire.
Ancell’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Ancell was pronounced dead on scene.
