The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team kick off the Montgomery County Tournament when they face Wellsville-Middletown tonight (Monday), November 28, 2023.
The Bulldogs are the number 1 seed in the tournament.
Wellsville-Middletown comes in as the 8 seed.
Tip-off is at 6pm.
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs fell to the Hermann Lady Bearcats 51-29 in the opening round of the Montgomery County Tournament on Monday, November 27, 2023.
The Lady Bulldogs were down 16-0 after the first quarter and trailed by 15 at halftime.
Mexico then outscored Hermann 12 to 8 in the third and cut the Lady Bearcats lead down to just 11 entering the fourth quarter.
Mexico was unable to complete the comeback.
Freshman Grace Hudson led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points.
Followed by Jordyn Thurman who finished the game with 9 points.
Claire Hudson recorded 5 points and Landri Teel checked into the score book with 2 points.
Up next the Mexico girls will face either Wellsville-Middletown or Fulton on Wednesday night at 7;30pm.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced the signing of 34-year-old pitcher Sonny Gray during a press conference yesterday (Monday).
Gray posted a 2.79 ERA in 32 starts for the Minnesota Twins last season.
He was also second in voting for the American League Cy Young Award and received MVP votes.
The deal with Gray is reportedly a three-year, $75 million contract.
The Missouri men’s basketball team is back on the road facing off against Pittsburgh in the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge tonight (Tuesday).
Tip off is set for 6:30.
The St. Louis Blues remain on the road tonight when they play the Minnesota Wild. Puck drops at 7.
