Mexico School District Student Detained After Reportedly Bringing A Knife To A Bus Stop
The Mexico School District reports an incident where a student had a knife during the morning hours of Friday, December 15, 2023.
According to the email from the District, they were notified about the incident at a north-central Mexico bus stop where a parent and other students at the stop witnessed the student with a knife and reported it to the district.
No injuries resulted from the issue.
The district says the incident is being taken seriously, as it puts their students at risk and violates school safety policies.
Mexico Public Safety says the student was detained and released to parents and the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division on the investigation.
The School District says they are working with Mexico Public Safety to take appropriate disciplinary action.
