Mexico Public Safety Department Report 12/15/2023

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Thursday, December 14, 2023:

• Domestic verbal incident on South Trinity and at Fairsite Drive.
• Trespassing on North Washington.
• Careless and imprudent driver at North Olive and at the Highway 54 bypass.
• Natural gas odor on South Trinity.
• Harassment at West Boulevard.
• Threats on South Clark.
• Vandalism at South Abat.
• Suspicious vehicle on Summit.

Car accidents:

A two-car accident on the Highway 54 bypass at East Liberty on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

According to the Mexico Public Safety Department accident report it happened as a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Maxwell Laine of Columbia and a vehicle driven by Kimberly Hanson of Arkansas were both approaching the exit ramp of Highway 54 waiting to turn on East Liberty.

Laine’s vehicle rear-ended Hanson’s vehicle according to Mexico Public Safety.

No injuries were reported.
