Mexico Public Safety Department Report 12/27/2023
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Tuesday, December 26, 2023:
- Suspicious activity on Jubel Drive.
- Vehicle break-in at Randy and Eagle Drive.
- Domestic physical incident on East Holt.
- Unwanted subject at East Liberty.
- Fraud on West Jackson.
Car accidents:
No injuries reported following a two-car accident on Highway 54 at East Liberty in Mexico during the morning hours of Tuesday, December 26, 2023.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened as two vehicles were stopped at the intersection.
A vehicle driven by 34-year-old Lauren Kopp of Montgomery City rolled forward and a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Benjamin Strafford of Laddonia collided with the rear of Kopp’s vehicle.
According to the accident report Strafford thought Kopp’s vehicle had already went through the intersection.
