Mexico Public responded to the following calls for service over the New Year’s holiday starting on Friday, December 29, 2023:

  • Missing adult at Hardin Park.
  • Child abuse or neglect at 4820 South Clark.
  • Neighbor dispute on Yale.
  • Animal abuse or neglect reported at West Jackson.
  • Suspicious person on West Monroe and at East Monroe.

Public Safety went to the following calls on Saturday, December 30, 2023:

  • Trespassing on West Monroe and at East Monroe.
  • Ex-parte violation on South Olive.
  • Harassment at South Jefferson.
  • Domestic verbal incident on North Washington.
  • Unwanted subject at North Western.
  • Suspicious vehicle on East Vine/North Jefferson.
  • Domestic physical incident at South Western.
  • Peace disturbance on North Clark/Bourne.

  • Threats at South Calhoun.
  • Stolen vehicle on West Breckenridge.
  • Ex-parte violation at South Jefferson.
  • Trespassing on East Holt.
  • Shots fired reported at North Washington/Bourne.
  • Attempted burglary reported on East Promenade.
  • Intoxicated person walking at 4820 South Clark.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024:

  • Suspicious noise on West Boulevard.
  • Suspicious vehicle at East Monroe.
  • Neighbor dispute at Fairground Road.
  • Stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
  • Suspicious person West Breckenridge Drive.
  • Property damage at the West Breckenridge apartment building.
  • Structure fire on West Liberty.

Car accidents:

A one-car accident on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened on West Liberty Street at South Clark Street.

An unknown vehicle apparently struck a city street sign at the intersection of West Liberty and South Clark Street.

The sign was reported laying on the side of the road to the west of the intersection.

No injuries were reported.
