Mexico Public Safety Department Report 3/7/2024
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Wednesday, March 7, 2024:
- Stealing or theft on South Washington.
- Property damage at the North Jefferson apartment building.
- Domestic verbal incident on West Robinson/Olive.
- Assault without injury at West Boulevard.
- Stealing or theft on West Monroe and at 4820 South Clark.
- Careless and imprudent driver on Garfield.
- Neighbor dispute at South Calhoun.
- Harassment at 4820 South Clark.
Car accidents:
No injuries reported following a two-car accident on West Monroe during the afternoon hours of Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Thomas E. Goss of Columbia came to a stop on West Monroe due to traffic stopping.
A vehicle driven by an unknown driver failed to stop and collided with Goss’s vehicle.
The unknown driver left the scene and has yet to be identified.
A two-car accident on Morris at Hazel on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Vanessa L. Janke of Mexico stated she did not see a vehicle driven by 43-year-old James Boner of Mexico.
Janke turned too sharp onto Hazel Place causing a collision.
No injuries were reported.
