A swearing in ceremony for Melissa Buckman Young, the newly appointed Associate Circuit Judge for Audrain County in the 12th Judicial Circuit took place at the Audrain County Courthouse on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Buckman Young was sworn in by Missouri Supreme Court Judge Kelly C. Broniec.
During the ceremony Buckman’s children held the Bible that was their great grandfather’s for the swearing in.
Earlier this month, Governor Mike Parson appointed Buckman Young to fill position created by the retirement of the Honorable Linda R. Hamlett.
