Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 58-year-old Joseph M. Rummans Jr. for Failure to Yield, Resisting Arrest, and traffic warrants on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

43-year-old Takesha M. Burton was arrested for an Audrain County warrant on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

26-year-old Austin W. Terry was arrested for an Audrain County warrant on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Thursday, March 28, 2024:

  • Attempted stealing or theft on Carrico and at East Monroe.
  • Failure to yield to an emergency vehicle on South Clark/Green Boulevard.
  • Stealing or theft at Friendship Drive and on Mars and at 2855 South Clark.
  • Stolen vehicle reported on West Whitley.
  • Careless and imprudent driver at North Jefferson and on East Liberty.
  • Property damage at South Coal.
  • Threats on South Singleton.
  • Fight in progress at Ringo.
  • Domestic verbal incident on North Olive.

Car accidents:

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident in the 1300 block of South Jefferson on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

According to the accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Jessica Joiner of Mexico was traveling north on Jefferson and while passing 1306 South Jefferson, a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Takesha Burton of Mexico was backing out of a driveway and a collision happened.

No injuries were reported.

Both vehicle sustained minor damage.
