The Mexico-Audrain County Library had a late open after gas odor was reported by an employee during the morning hours of Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Christal Bruner director of the Mexico-Audrain County Library says the odor was detected around 8:30 this (Wednesday) morning and a call was made to Ameren U.E.
The employees were told to evacuate the building until Ameren crews arrived to make sure it was safe.
