Arrests:
Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 35-year-old Kayneshia S. Long for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Suspended on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
48-year-old George Mastin was arrested for Fourth Degree Assault on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, May 31, 2024:
- Trespassing on West Monroe.
- Vandalism at Fairgrounds Park.
- Domestic physical incident on South Morris Street at the animal shelter.
- Stealing or theft on Fairground Road and at 803 South Clark and on West Monroe.
- Suspicious person at South Olive.
- Careless and imprudent driver on West Monroe/Western.
Public Safety went to the following calls on Saturday, June 1, 2024:
- Stealing or theft on West Monroe.
- Property damage at South Muldrow.
- Suspicious vehicle at the North Missouri apartment building.
- Suspicious person on Summit/Woodlawn.
- Intoxicated person driving on Huntingfield Drive and at Lakeview Park.
- Shots fired reported at West Boulevard/Omar and on Huntingfield/Jefferson.
Public Safety went to the following calls on Sunday, June 2, 2024:
- Trespassing at South Missouri.
- Animal abuse or neglect at South Clark.
- Stealing or theft on East Central/Trinity.
- Domestic physical incident at the West Love apartment building.
- Suspicious person on Carson.
Car accidents:
Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident at the Walmart parking lot on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Michelle Blackburn of Williamsburg and an unknown driver of a vehicle were backing out of a parking sport at the same time and crashed into each other.
Blackburn stopped and stayed and the unknown driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.
No injuries were reported.
