Mexico Teen Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle On Fairground Road
A Mexico teen is recovering from injuries after being hit by a car accidentally during the evening hours of Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
Mexico Public Safety responded to Fairground Road near Falcon just after 9pm in reference to a pedestrian being hit by a car.
Responding personnel found that 20-year-old Jacob Barnes was driving a vehicle southbound on Fairground Road and began using windshield washer fluid to clean the windshield and did not see a 16-year-old boy who was walking in the roadway.
Audrain Ambulance District transported the teen to University Hospital where he was admitted for treatment for his injuries.
