Mexico Basketball Legend Marcus Belcher Headed To East Tennessee State University
Mexico, Missouri native Marcus Belcher has been hired on at East Tennessee State University of men’s basketball program as the new assistant coach.
Belcher has almost 20 years of coaching experience at the Division I level with his most recent stop being at Jacksonville State.
Belcher served as an assistant at Jacksonville State the last two seasons.
Basketball is in the Belcher’s family DNA, as his brother Cookie, played college ball at Nebraska and accepted a coaching position on Tyronn Lue’s staff with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2021.
