A Monroe City man is dead following a one-car accident in Ralls County during the evening hours of Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol accident report it happened on Cincinnati Road a half mile south of Ariel Lane, nine miles southeast of Monroe City.
A vehicle driven by 48-year-old William C. Sweet of Monroe City drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Sweet was pronounced dead at the scene by Monroe City EMS.
The body was taken to the Beinhoff Funeral Home in Perry.
