Mexico Public Safety Department Report 7/22/2024

Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 41-year-old Jaurez J. Jarman on Friday for a Centralia warrant, resisting arrest, and fourth degree assault on a special victim.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, July 19, 2024:

  • Unwanted subject on South Trinity and at 1719 South Clark.
  • Harassment on Rock Springs Drive.
  • Stealing or theft at Webster Drive and on West Boulevard.
  • Domestic physical incident at South Missouri.
  • Fraud on South Washington.
  • Scam at South Abat.
  • Trespassing on Hazel Place/Morris/West Street and at 808 East Liberty.
  • Assault without injury on South Missouri.
  • Attempted burglary at Garfield.
  • Intoxicated person driving on West Breckenridge/Missouri.
  • Suspicious person at North Mississippi and on West Monroe.

Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Saturday, July 20, 2024:

  • Suspicious vehicle at 4427 East Liberty.
  • Shots fired reported on West Street.
  • Threats at South Union and on Calhoun.
  • Domestic physical incident at 4800 South Clark.
  • Attempted stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
  • Stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
  • Harassment at the Hassen apartment building.
  • Property damage on West Liberty.

Mexico Public Safety responded to these calls for service on Sunday, July 21, 2024:

  • Careless and imprudent driver at East Love.
  • Stealing or theft on East Love and at South Trinity.
  • Domestic physical incident on Neptune and at East Breckenridge Drive.
  • Suspicious person on West Monroe.
  • Trespassing at West Buchanan.
  • Assault without injury on Lakeview Road.
  • Animal abuse or neglect at Latney.
  • Property damage on North Missouri.

Car accidents:

A Mexico man was treated and released at the scene of a vehicle accident in the 900 block of Curtis in Mexico on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 41-year-old William Spencer of Mexico was traveling west in the 900 block of Curtis when he swerved to avoid a pedestrian in the roadway and collided with a drainage ditch.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

No injuries reported following a two-car accident on Clark at Boulevard on Friday, July 19, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Victoria Shearon-Witherspoon of Mexico was driving west on Boulevard when a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Ronald Kent of Mexico turned west on Boulevard from Muldrow causing a collision.

 

No injuries reported after a two-car accident in the 2600 block of South Clark on Saturday, July 20, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Robert Joseph Lewis of Laddonia pulled out a business parking lot and was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Linda Darlene Rice of Mexico.
