Arrests:
Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 18-year-old Malachi L. Whitley for Fourth Degree Domestic Assault on Monday, July 30, 2024.
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Monday, July 30, 2024:
- Trespassing on West Monroe.
- Property damage at South Muldrow.
- Unwanted subject at 4787 East Liberty.
- Suspicious person on East Monroe.
- Stealing or theft at South Morris and on South Olive.
- Domestic physical incident at Garfield.
- Harassment on Rock Springs Drive.
- Fight in progress at West Liberty.
Car accidents:
Mexico Public Safety responded to three separate car accidents on Monday, July 29, 2024.
A two-car accident on Liberty at Clark just before 3:30 on Monday afternoon.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Marek Derlicki of Springfield, Missouri backed up from a stop sign and into a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Auxvasse girl. No injuries were reported.
A two-car accident on Jackson at Washington just before 3pm.According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Yvonne Allison Mitchell of Mexico failed to yield the right-of-way to a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Marie Robnett who was backing out of a parking space.
No injuries were reported.
A two-car accident on Western at Monroe just before 8:30am.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Carl Lesieur of Mexico failed to maintain a proper lookout when entering and struck a vehicle driven by 80-year-old William Azdell of Mexico.
No injuries were reported.
