Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 48-year-old Kimmie E. Watts for an Audrain County warrant on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, August 9, 2024:

  • Shots fired reported at West Buchanan.
  • Domestic physical incident on Summer Ridge Road.
  • Threats at Vance Road.
  • Stealing or theft on East Bolivar.
  • Property damage at the West Street apartment building.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on South Calhoun.

Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Saturday, August 10, 2024:

  • Careless and imprudent driver at East Liberty and on Rock Springs/Ozark Place.
  • Threats at the West Street apartment building.
  • Trespassing on East Holt and at Bougainville.
  • Unwanted subject on North Olive.
  • Stealing or theft at North Western.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
  • Suspicious person at 3066 South Clark.
  • Domestic physical incident on South Singleton.
  • Natural gas odor at East Lafayette.
  • Harassment on Omar.
  • An assault with injury at West Jackson.

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Sunday, August 11, 2024:

  • Trespassing at Bougainville and at East Holt.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on North Wade and at South Trinity and on West Breckenridge/Trinity.
  • Threats at the West Breckenridge apartment building.
  • Suspicious activity on Bougainville.
  • Domestic verbal incident at the East Anderson apartment building.
  • Stealing or theft on West Monroe.

Car accidents:

Mexico Public Safety responded to three separate car accidents over the weekend.

A two-car accident on Thursday, August 9th on North Western at West Monroe.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Colby McKee of Ashland was making a turn and the trailer the vehicle was hauling struck a vehicle on the driver’s side driven by 42-year-old Paul Holliger of Armstrong, Missouri.

No injuries were reported.

Public Safety responded to a two-car accident on South Clark at West Boulevard on Thursday August 9th.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Charles Matthews of Mexico was behind a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Ruth Ball of Thompson.

Matthews attempted to look for a beverage in the vehicle and took his foot off the brake causing his vehicle to strike Ball’s vehicle in the rear end. No injuries were reported.

Mexico Public Safety responded to a two-car accident on Saturday, August 10th on Morris at Monroe.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Jacob Prater of Mexico made a turn and collided with a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Janet Strait of Mexico.

No injuries were reported.
