The St. Louis Cardinals jumped out on the San Francisco Giants early last (Thursday) night and never looked back with an 11-2 win.
Jedd Gyorko hit a three run home run, Harrison Bader went 3 for 4 with a two run homer, and Matt Carpenter went deep also.
Cardinals starting pitcher Luke Weaver struck out seven and didn’t walk anyone in a career high eight innings pitched.
The Cardinals are now five games over five hundred but still remain six and a half games back in the National League Central.
