Mexico Home Suffers Damage After Fire
Fire, smoke and heat damage is being reported to a home in Mexico after a fire on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the 300 block of Jefferson Road just before 5pm.
Responding personnel found fire in the kitchen of the home.
The fire was contained and extinguished in that area with the kitchen suffering significant fire damage and the rest of the home having heavy smoke and heat damage.
Mexico Public Safety said it was determined that the fire started as a cooking/grease fire on the stove top.
A resident attempted to extinguish the fire, but it began to spread quickly and everyone in the home evacuated.
There were no injuries from the incident.
