Mizzou soccer lost 2-0 against St. Louis University on Sunday,  August 25, 2024.

The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Minnesota Twins 3-2 on Sunday, and won the weekend series at Target Field taking two out of three games.

Lars Nootbaar came up clutch in the ninth inning, providing a base hit that scored the tying and go-ahead run.

Cardinals reliever Ryan Helsley notched his 40th save of the year.

The Kansas City Royals lost 11-3 to the Philadelphia Phillies at the K.

The loss dropped Kansas City to three games behind Cleveland for first place in the American League Central, but the Royals stayed tied for second place with the Twins, who hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Boston was swept by Arizona, so Kansas City’s 4 1/2 game lead for the third and final American League Wild Card spot stayed put.
