Mexico Public Safety Department Report 9/3/2024

Arrests:

Mexico Public Safety Department reports the arrest of 29-year-old Steven A. Bryant on Thursday, August 29, 2024, for a Violation of a Protection Order.

30-year-old Michael D. Miller was arrested on Friday, August 30th, for Harassment and Stalking.

27-year-old Dakota M. Goodin was arrested on Saturday, September 1, for Second Degree Burglary, and Stealing under $150.00

21-year-old Kaylee N. Jackson was arrested Saturday, September 1, for Third Degree Degree Assault.

Calls for service:

Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls over the Labor holiday weekend starting on Friday, August 30, 2024:

  • Suspicious person at South Singleton and on South Calhoun.
  • Threats at 3001 South Clark and on South Calhoun.
  • Shoplifting at 828 West Monroe.
  • Fraud at 2717 South Clark and on East Anderson.
  • Unwanted subject at East Anderson and on West Monroe and at MacFarlane and on Hendrick.
  • Stealing or theft on East Jackson and at the East Monroe apartment building.
  • Trespassing at 4820 South Clark.
  • Domestic verbal incident on West Maple/Wade.
  • Property damage at the West at the West Love apartment building.
  • Careless and imprudent driver on West Monroe.

Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Saturday, August 31, 2024:

  • Domestic physical incident at West Pearson.
  • Stealing or theft on West Monroe.
  • Natural gas odor at East Breckenridge.
  • Threats on Old Farm Road/Summit and at West Monroe.
  • Careless and imprudent on Fairground Road and at East Liberty/Agricultural.
  • Property dispute on Howell Manor Court.
  • Shoplifting at 4820 South Clark.
  • Trash dumping on West Monroe at O’ Reilly’s.
  • Animal abuse or neglect on West Robinson.
  • Property damage at Harwood.
  • Domestic physical incident on South Western.

  • Loitering at West Monroe.
  • Vandalism on East Central.
  • Careless and imprudent driver at South Jefferson and on West Monroe/Western.
  • Suspicious person at East Holt and on South Morris/Lakeview.
  • Harassment at the Hassen apartment building.
  • Threats on Bougainville.

Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024:

  • Stealing or theft at West Jackson.
  • Suspicious vehicle at 2780 South Clark.
  • Animal abuse or neglect on Rock Springs Drive.
  • Unlawful ATV operation at South Morris Street/Michigan.
  • Suspicious person on South Alabama and on South Muldrow and at East Holt and on South Morris Street.
  • Domestic verbal incident at the South Clark apartment building.

Car accidents:

No injuries reported following a two-car accident on Boulevard at South Clark on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Mexico girl was waiting to merge south onto Clark from Boulevard and began moving forward but had a vehicle cut her off.

The girl had to break and was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Mexico boy.
