The Mexico High School boys soccer team took down conference rival Fulton with a 3-2 overtime win at Chris Hotop Field in Mexico on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Bulldogs senior Gage Walker collected a hat trick and hit two clutch penalty kicks.

Walker hit the game winner with just seconds to go in overtime.

Mexico head coach Bill Gleeson said “The boys worked hard and gave it their all to win.”

The Mexico Bulldogs football team plays their first road game of the season when they face the Southern Boone Eagles on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Both teams come into Week 2 with a 1-0 record.

Pregame starts at 6:30 featuring an interview with Mexico head coach Steve Haag.

Then kickoff at 7.

The game will be broadcast live on AM 1340 KXEO and streaming live on KXEO.com.

The Kansas City Chiefs held off the Baltimore Ravens with a 27-20 win to open up the NFL season  at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

The game came down to Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely’s toe being out of bounds on a would-be touchdown in the final seconds.

The Chiefs were led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a two-touchdown performance from rookie receiver Xavier Worthy.

Up next the Kansas City Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, September 15th.
