The Mexico High School Cross Country Team capped Homecoming week competing at the Fulton Invitational.

The boys team finished 4th out of 13 schools.

The boys were led this week by senior Hunter Bickell who finished 8th.

Close behind was senior Andrew Peuster, and Junior Brady McCoy finishing 10th and 16th respectively.

All three were medalists on the boys side.

The girls team earned a 6th place finish out of 11 schools.

Leading the way was junior Maggie Ramsey finishing third overall out of 85 runners.

Mexico Cross Country head coach Lucas Brenneman says “Conditions were not great for racing and the kids were a little fatigued from all the Homecoming events, but overall it was a good showing on both sides.

The Girls had a TEAM!!! Our goal was to score as a team this season and we made it happen and we did well considering how young we are.

Leading the way was Junior Maggie Ramsey finishing 3rd overall out of 85 runners running 21:57.

The winner was 21:23..Maggie is closing the gap on top runners.

I will not be surprised to see her be the top finisher at some point this season.”
