Mexico Public Safety Department Report 9/27/2024
Calls for service:
Mexico Public Safety responded to the following calls for service on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
- Railroad crossing problems on South Morris Street/Monroe.
- Trespassing at 1535 East Liberty.
- Neighbor dispute on South Olive.
- Suspicious person at South Clark.
- Careless and imprudent driver on West Buchanan.
- Threats at the Hassen apartment building.
- Unwanted subject on Vance Road.
- Suspicious vehicle at East Holt.
Car accidents:
Mexico Public Safety responded to two separate car accidents on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The first accident happened around 12:15 on Thursday afternoon on Monroe at Western.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Amber Riley of Paris and a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Ashley Schmidt of Centralia were traveling eastbound on Monroe at Western. Riley’s vehicle struck Schmidt’s vehicle in the rear. No injuries were reported.
The second accident happened just before 5pm on Thursday on North Clark at West Street.
According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Sonny Roberts of Mexico was traveling east on West Love and a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Jordan Seals of Mexico was traveling north on North Clark collided.
No injuries were reported.
