
The Mexico High School girls softball team defeated the Marshall Owls 11-7 at Gallop Field in Mexico on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Mexico’s offense was clicking with 14 hits in total.
Landri Teel, Maddy Feger, and Payton Shaw each collected three hits.
Teel and Feger had two RBI each.
Hannah Loyd had a triple and a double.
Mexico improved to 4-3 in the North Central Missouri Conference.
Up next the Lady Bulldogs will be on the road against the Moberly Lady Spartans at 5pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

The Mexico 8th grade volleyball team took first place in the Mexico 8th Grade Invitational volleyball tournament on Saturday.
Teams in tournament included Kirksville, Fulton, North Callaway, Centralia, and Linn.

The Mexico High School cross country team traveled to Columbia to compete in the Gans Creek Classic on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
Head coach Lucas Brenneman says “The course is about as good as it gets for running and then you add in the cooler temps and it made for a great day to race!
Every single Mexico runner ran a season’s best time and some ran their best time ever.
The boys finished well in a competitive field finishing 7th out of 36 schools.
We also had a number of runners just missing the top 25 to earn medals.
Mexico Competed in the Blue Division.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Baltimore Orioles 1-0 in Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series at Camden Yards on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Royals starting pitcher Cole Ragans tossed six scoreless innings, striking out eight batters without a walk.
Bobby Witt Jr. provided the only run scored in the game.
The Royals are now one win away from an American League Division Series appearance against the New York Yankees.
Game two between the Royals and Orioles takes this place this (Wednesday) afternoon with a 3:38 first pitch.
In other playoff games yesterday (Tuesday) it was the Detroit Tigers defeating the Houston Astros 3-1.
The New York Mets doubled up the Milwaukee Brewers 8-4.
And the San Diego Padres shut out the Atlanta Braves 4-0.
